
FANCY a weekend of wine?
The Pyrenees Unearthed Festival will kick off this Saturday for a three-day event promising the best in wine, racing, arts and entertainment.
Featuring a range of musicians such as Ballarat rising star Demi Louise, the festival will include a bonfire bash with a singalong with P.W Billy and Trevor Moore, a barbecue dinner, marshmallows and a pop-up games room.
The weekend will also include an art exhibition and sale, a wine festival and an Anzac Day service and races.
Visitors will be encouraged to explore the 15 wineries along the banks of the Avoca River on Sunday April 24, with tasting passes available for $25. Food and live music will be available all day.
Monday April 25 will include a dawn service at the Avoca RSL followed by the ANZAC Day Races with entertainment, live music, kids’ activities, wine stalls and thoroughbred racing.
Camping is available at Avoca Racecourse for $15 a night. Ballarat residents can also take advantage of a two-for-one return bus offer for $24.
