JAYDEN Hayes will skipper Ballarat-Redan through its 2016-17 Ballarat Cricket Association firsts campaign.
Hayes has been appointed to replace Bobby Hind in the role, where he will be assisted by vice-captain Billy Jones.
The two youngsters have played alongside one another at Ballarat-Redan and in various BCA representative teams over the years.
New Two Swords coach Darren Wilson is excited by the club’s senior appointments.
“I look forward to working with them both and they are very lucky to have experienced players such as Bobby Hind, Anthony Taylor and Simon Allan in the team alongside them who will also provide valuable support,” Wilson said.
Ballarat-Redan is out to improve on its sixth-placed finish to last season.
The Two Swords kick off their new year with a clash against East Ballarat on October 8.
