Greater Western Victoria Rebels will be hoping it can pick up where it left off as it hosts Dandenong Stingrays in Sunday’s TAC Cup match.

Two weeks ago, the Rebels delivered a stunning final quarter of football kicking 8.2 to one behind to overrun Murray Bushrangers and prevail by six points. The TAC Cup competition then took a week off, but coach Gerard FitzGerald joked his side would’ve loved to of played the next day.
Nonetheless, the focus for the Rebels will be rediscovering that blistering form and executing it for four quarters.
“We take some confidence from the way we played last time,” FitzGerald said.
“It’s a fair thrill to play after such a historic day.
“I’ve always thought our best footy was good enough, but we just need to do it more often.”
Lloyd Meek and Tom Morrish return to the side while Hamilton’s Ed Delany makes his debut.
The Rebels and Stingrays clash will be the third game on Mars Stadium on Sunday as Geelong Falcons, Murray Bushrangers, Gippsland Power and Bendigo Pioneers join to create a triple-header. The first match beginning at 10.30am.
While the Rebels 24-year reunion for all past and present Rebels will take place at the North Ballarat Sports Club.
