The Wunderfest, one of the most popular sections of the massive market, will host the cake decorating, pony rides, jumping castles, paper planes, pot plant making, wooden crafts, face painting and more.
“The joy and laughter in the area on the day is infectious and we love being a part of the day,” said Ian Lane from Wunderfest zone sponsor RACV Goldfields Resort.
Wunderfest will take place around the Pleasant Street stretch of Lake Wendouree, while nearby St Patrick’s Point will become a Sovereign Hill outpost for the day with a mini township with 1850s style games, gold panning and more historic activities.
Alongside Kids Wunderfest there will be 500 market stalls stretched around the 6km of Lake Wendouree.
A new event, sure to become a favourite, will be the 3.30pm grand parade of vintage and much-loved cars taking part in a grand parade around the lake.
