Popular bayside event Mermaid Sorority Makers Market has confirmed it will return in February after making a splash in its Ballarat debut late last month.
Mermaids have put out a call for more Ballarat stall holders to join the sorority.
The first indoor coincided with the annual Springfest at Lake Wendouree. Organisers were rapt with the turn-out of Ballarat shoppers and tourists and said being indoors at Ballarat Sports and Events Centre proved a great spot.
It has been a big year for artisan markets in Ballarat with The Design Exchange introducing a Bakers’ Lane to cater to foodies as they shopped the popular Mining Exchange event.
Bakers’ Lane was created for the June market and return due to high demand for the August and Christmas exchanges.
Pleasant Street primary’s Christmas market expanded to a record 150 stallholders on Friday night and boasts a lengthy waiting list of those vying to set up in what has become a must-do annual Ballarat event.
