Delegates had Ballarat Wildlife Park, Sovereign Hill and Lake Wendouree, travelling in 34 coaches, on their itineraries for the pre-event tour.
Melbourne's Marvel Stadium is expected to host 50,000 witnesses from 71 countries for the International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses from Friday to Saturday. It is set to top the stadium's biggest AFL crowd this year with 48,278 fans flocking to the Essendon-North Melbourne clash on Good Friday.
The Ballarat visits kick off a blockbuster weekend for the city ahead of a bumper sporting Saturday - Melbourne Renegades host a Women's Big Bash League hit-out at Eastern Oval on what is also Ballarat Cup Day. SpringFest festivities return to Lake Wendouree on Sunday.
Melbourne Convention Bureau chief Julia Swanson said pre and post-conferencing tours were increasingly popular. Almost four in 10 delegates visit regional Victoria and the Goldfields was a popular choice due to its proximity to the state's capital.
