What a period it has been for senior football premiership breakthroughs in the Ballarat Football League in the past decade.
Going into 2010, amazingly just four of the 11 entities in the competition had flags to their name - Ballarat, Melton, Redan and Sunbury.
North Ballarat had been a dominant premier in the history of the BFL, but not under the modern day era brand of North Ballarat City.
This is how that all changed.

Lakers were formed with the merger of the Wendouree and junior club Ballarat YCW Football Club at the end of 1994 and entered the BFL in 1995.
Lake Wendouree finished second behind Sunbury in 2010 and enjoyed a winning streak of 14 to secure the flag.
Lakers took a grip on the grand final with a six-goal third quarter and then took it away with another six in the last against Ballarat.
Paul McMahon followed a Henderson Medal win with eight goals in one of the all-time great individual performances in a BFL grand final.

NORTH BALLARAT CITY - 2013
North Ballarat City entered the BFL in 2008 after a short stint in the Bendigo Football League.
There had been no North Ballarat entity in the competition since the Roosters had withdrawn after a 1996 premiership to wholly focus on being part of the VFL.
North Ballarat Junior Football Club formed the North Ballarat City brand and in its third finals appearance snare a flag.
It would be the first of back-to-back premierships.

DARLEY - 2015
Darley ended North Ballarat City's run of flags with its maiden premiership in 2015 under the guidance of a favourite son in Jarrod Edwards.
For the second year in a row it was a one-sided affair.
And the margin should have been even more than the 61 points with Darley's inaccuracy keeping North in the match early.
It was only Darley's second BFL grand final, having lost to Ballarat in 2008 after a goal to the Swans after the final siren.

BACCHUS MARSH - 2016
Bacchus Marsh broke its premiership drought in its first finals campaign in 17 years.
A new coach in Travis Hodgson and some brave recruiting after the start of the season were linchpins in the Cobras ending years of frustration.
Bacchus Marsh had been in the competition since 1978, but a 12-point grand final loss to Sunbury in 1999 had been as close as it been to a flag.
The Cobras kept Sunbury goalless after half-time to finally get the job done.

EAST POINT - 2018
Formed in 2001 with the merger of Eastern Oval co-tenants East Ballarat and Golden Point, East Point finally achieved an elusive premiership in a two-point thriller over Melton at Mars Stadium.
Success came in the Kangaroos' third grand final appearance, having lost to Redan in 2006 and 2009.
East Point finished on top of the ladder, but at half-time - with the Bloods leading 27 points - it looked like missing out again.
The Roos turned it on with a nine-goal third quarter and then only just held off a charging Melton.
