One venue which has been adversely affected by the lockdown is Kryal Castle, located just outside of Ballarat.
General manager Melissa Dimond said moving forward, the castle will have to get creative as they aim to continue bringing families over the draw bridge.
"The market is very fluid during this time, so we're spending a lot of time on our digital marketing," she said.
"Obviously the majority of visitors do come from Melbourne, so we do have to rethink the way we market our venue to the rest of regional Victoria."

While the venue is well equipped to continue hosting families because of its large, open air spaces, Ms Dimond stressed the importance of wanting to continue to support its suppliers through what has been a difficult first six months of 2020.
"We're quite lucky because we have such a big open space to operate within. When people are coming through the gates they're very enthusiastic and excited to be supporting regional Victoria.
"One of the biggest aspects from our point of view is the fact that we want to continue supporting all of our local suppliers. We source all of our food locally... when we did open back up it was great to be able to support them again and that's what we want to continue."
She added her hopes for some relief, not just for Kryal Castle, but for all regional businesses that have been affected by both the pandemic and the summer's bushfires.
"Regional Victoria has really copped it over the last 12 months with the bushfires and now pandemic... You've got to have a pretty strong business plan to weather this storm."
