North Ballarat has dismissed Napoleons-Sebastopol to claim a 57-run victory in the opening round of the Ballarat Cricket Association season.

Naps-Sebas, 90, was unable to account for North's 9-147 at Northern Oval. Ashley McCafferty led the way for the Roosters, notching 35 off 34.

He was backed up by opener Jonah Healey, who scored 21 in his first game at the club. Dylan Achison scored 18.
McCafferty proved just as effective with the ball, finishing with with bowling figures of 5-26. Adam Eddy was also effective in his first game back with four scalps of his own.
North began steadily at 0-34 before losing Healey, and Leigh Lorenzen in quick succession.
New recruit Nicholas Pantzidis was admirable for Naps-Sebas in the seconds innings, scoring 26. However the club was unable to recover after losing a string of early wickets.
"To keep them to 147 was a good effort, but we were 3-20 early and were on the back foot after those early wickets," Naps-Sebas head coach Dan Davies said.
"The Wicket was a bit poppy."
Jacob Pawlowicz, who joined Naps-Sebas from Greenvale in the Melbourne premier ranks, impressed in his first game at the club. The left-arm orthodox bowler finished with figures of 2-26 and two maidens.
Janath Tissera was also solid with figures of 2-14, as was Corey Hucker (2-15).
