Its biggest win of the day came in the rink skippered by Richard Irwin, managing a 20-17 victory. It now sits seven points clear of Central Wendouree in second.
Central Wendouree made sure it took care of business to stay close to first position on the ladder with a 69-45 win over Bacchus Marsh.
It took all 16 points in the process, the rink skippered by Leslie Quick dominating with a 34-16 win.
City Oval continued its climb up the ladder, landing in fifth following a 19 shot win over BMS.
BMS was able to claim a rink and draw another to take away three points.
The rink skippered by Chris Smith was impressive for City Oval however, taking a 20 shot win.
Sebastopol produced the upset of the round, with a tight 62-60 win over the previously second placed Webbcona.
Sebastopol only won one rink but it was an impressive 11 shot win, skippered by Ian Hedger.
Losing the other two rinks by a combined nine shots meant it scraped through with a two shot victory.
Webbcona now sits fourth on the ladder.
Midlands have now jumped to third position after entering the round fourth following a 70-57 win over last placed Clunes.
The rink skippered by Paul Kennedy led the way with a 27-18 win.
