A close encounter throughout the entire four quarters, the Rebels led by one point at the half and three-quarter time breaks, holding on to win 4.5 (29) to 4.4 (28) at Windsor Park, Launceston.

"It gives the girls a little bit of belief now, who knows what could happen, we were probably outsiders on the weekend and we got the job (done)," coach David Loader told The Courier.

"We'll go in underdogs again this weekend, I don't mind that tag, nothing to lose, pressure on the opposition."

Lilli Condon continued her stellar 2021 form, following up her 30 disposal effort in round nine with another 30 touches at the weekend, to go with eight tackles.

Paige Scott was outstanding down forward, kicking a season high four goals from her 14 disposals to take her season tally to 13.

Loader said he was proud of the intent of the side, especially as the game entered the final minutes.

"Just our ability to fight at the contest. Our midfield group, our inside mids and obviously Paige Scott as a forward, but our inside mids were outstanding," he said.

The Rebels bounced back from a 23-point loss to Tasmania just a week previous, beating the Devils away from home this time around.

They now look forward to a Victoria country battle with the Geelong Falcons in a preliminary final. The Rebels went down in their only clash with Geelong way back in round one, a 10-point defeat.

The game kicks-off at 12pm on Saturday at Avalon Airport Oval. The winner will face the victor of the other preliminary final, between the Eastern Ranges and Oakleigh Chargers.
