Demon Tom McDonald and Port Adelaide's Willem Drew find themselves in a preliminary final and with their teams in outstanding form, both would be heavily backed to be there on that 'One Day in September'.

The way the draw has fallen, barring injury, the Rebels are guaranteed at least one or two representatives come the grand final, with Geelong and the GWS Giants to meet next week in the semi final before the winner meets the Demons for a place in the big dance.
The Cats, who were outclassed by Port on Friday night, feature Isaac Smith and Jeremy Cameron, Cameron of course will face off against his old club for the first time for a place in the final four.
The other side of the draw is less certain with the Brisbane Lions, featuring Hugh McCluggage and Jarrod Berry, needing to win through in order to guarantee that the Rebels will be represented no matter who makes it through.
Essendon and former Clunes player Nick Hind is the hard-luck story of the finals after he visited a supermarket during the week, which later became listed as a tier-2 site. It meant he was forced out of Sunday's elimination final.
