A Towradgi home which has been dubbed "the ultimate entertainer" has new owners who are seeking a sea change. The sale has also set a new price benchmark for the street. The property at 6 Marlo Road, Towradgi is a five-bedroom home featuring a heated pool, covered alfresco with games room/bar and landscaped garden. The home sold last week for $2.7 million (meeting its price guide) after 84 days on the market, according to CoreLogic. Selling agent, Jeremy Hodder from Hodder & Borg said the property was sold to a Sydney family who wanted to enjoy the beachside lifestyle. He said there had been strong interest in the home, spanning Illawarra, Canberra and Sydney-based buyers. He said the new owners loved the "ultimate entertainer" aspect of the property. "The house is immaculate, so I think they're ready to move in and enjoy it over the summer period especially," he said. "They have teenage girls, so I think the man cave is going to be converted into a teenagers' retreat." The previous sale price record for the street was $2.3 million, set in 2022. "It sets a new benchmark for that street," Mr Hodder said. "Some nearby streets have had sales in that vicinity or higher, but nothing has sold for close to $3 million in Marlo Road." Other features of the home include a brand-new kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, butler's pantry, theatre room and master bedroom that boasts its own newly constructed dressing room and large ensuite. Seller Josh Sergi bought the home in 2018. Mr Sergi is the former owner of traffic control and management business Traffic Logistics, which was founded with brother Mark, and recently sold. The business started in the Illawarra and was later expanded to Sydney and Newcastle. Speaking to the Mercury earlier this year, Mr Sergi said during their ownership of the home, they had undertaken extensive work on the kitchen, pool and entertaining area, bedrooms and laundry. Mr Sergi said his favourite feature of the home was the outdoor area. "There's a beautiful pool that's self-cleaning, a beautiful function area out the back, man cave, pool table," he said. He said the man cave had been intended to be an ideal getaway for parents, while the home theatre was a regular hit with the family.
