Ms Pearce who has cerebral palsy which affects her speech, movement and her ability to walk has been hard in training with a goal to complete the full 6km route of the lake.
The walk which will take place on June 30 and hopes to raise $5000 for beyondblue.
"The training is progressing OK," she said.
"I've had a few little hiccups with blisters on the feet slowing me up, and trying to negotiate Ballarat's weather.
"I've done a few 4km walks so it's progressing well."
Prior to this training, the furthest Ms Pearce had ever walked in her life was 1.5km.
"I have raised over $4000 currently and the gofundme has gained more traction in the past week," she said.
"A new Ballarat Business called Scorch'z Takeaway (in Sebastopol) is donating $1 from every burger sold this month, which is really touching.
"Ballarat is such a generous and supportive community for which I am extremely grateful."
Ms Pearce said she hoped to have a few helpers of the four-legged variety walk with her on the day.
"I've had a few people wanting to do the walk with me on the day and the more people and dogs the better," she said.
"The walk will start at approximately 10am at the Steve Moneghetti Track starting point."
