Parry will continue to play next Ballarat Football Netball League season, while Munro will coach from the sidelines.
Munro said it's a nervous time taking up the role but exciting to do it with Parry.
"I don't know if I'm excited just yet, I think it's just a mental thing at the minute, just getting started," she laughed.
"It's exciting to be able to do it with Ruby because we've known each other for so long and been together at the club so it'll be nice to be able to bring a few things that we want to do together."
The pair were a part of Redan's side this season which finished sixth on the ladder with a 5-4 record.
Munro said there is plenty to be excited about going forward.
"There's a lot of girls sticking around so that's exciting," she said.
"Keeping a few of the young girls is something that we wanted to do and they've definitely got some talent there so that'll be nice to work with in 2022."
Munro, a Redan player since 2007, said she and Ruby have some clear goals as coaches next season.
"A few things we want to work on (are) bringing back some of the culture with high expectations and a strong work ethic, that's what we want to focus on a little bit," she said.
"Some individual player development and letting the young ones develop through having some more experienced players around them as well."
Parry played senior netball at Redan from 2013 until 2018, winning the Sally McLean Trophy as the league's A Grade best and fairest in 2017.
She then joined Rokewood-Corindhap for the 2019 Central Highlands Netball League season, before returning to the Lions in 2021.
