Jacob Grills claimed redemption from his 2019 defeat in the men's final, too strong for number one seed Omar Jasika 7-5, 6-1.
The conditions were okay throughout the matches, wind the factor that impacted them the most.
Considering that and the quality play of her opponent, Fourlis was pleased post-match after enduring a strong fight back from Parnaby in the second set.
"It was pretty tough, tough conditions as well, I think that played a big part in the entire match," she said.
"It was pretty much on serve, there was maybe one or two breaks of serve each set.
"Playing against Alana you always have to be on top of your game and I think I did that really well today, so it was definitely a tough match."
Looking forward, Fourlis is hoping for a big summer of tennis.
"I'll try and play a WTA or Bendigo if I can, depends what I can get into," she said.
"Then hopefully play Aussie Open (qualifiers) and then if there's more tournaments after that I'll stay, but if not I'll head to Europe."
Grills endured a tough opening set but eventually ran away with the men's final.
After racing to a 3-0 lead in the first set, Jasika quickly evened the match at 5-5.
Grills would only lose one more game on his way to a straight-sets win.
"It's not crazy windy but it's reasonably windy and up one end it was a little bit more difficult," he said.
"I won the first game ... up the, I guess, bad end and then when we swapped ends I got a couple of games so I was 3-0 up but then went back up the bad end and it was 3-2 pretty quick.
"I did quite well to hold serve at 6-5 in the first set, I was pretty happy ... then somehow ran away with it a little bit in the second."
Now with a Ballarat Open Platinum AMT singles title to add to his resume, Grills was not sure what his next step would be.
"I've entered all the tournaments at the start of the year ... and a lot of pro events, probably very unlikely that I'll get in but I'll put my name down and I'll see how we go," he said.
He was full of praise for the tournament and the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre staff.
"I love it, it's just easy, country vibe, it's not too dissimilar to home (Ocean Grove), I enjoy it a lot," he said.
"Plan to (come back) absolutely, I'll come back I think every year for a while now.
"The people that run the tournament are super kind ... little things like I think they organise and pay for the trainer ... the canteen, they're selling sandwiches for $5 or $6 and pastas, just looking after the players."
Now a two-time champion of the tournament, Fourlis said she was excited to return next year.
"I love coming here, it's really windy but it's windy everywhere, weather was bit (more) average this year, two years ago was really hot I remember, so hopefully I'll be back," she said.
Josh Charlton and Jasika combined to win the men's doubles 7-6(9), 6-4 over Aaron Addison and Stefan Vujic.
Tamara Bajagic and Erica Layton took out the women's doubles 7-5, 6-1 over Heidi Evans and Hayley Riessen.
In the boys 18 and under singles, Hugh Winter was too strong for Andrew Ziaras 7-6(4), 6-2.
Georgia Plunkett was too strong for Eliza Dunbar 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 in the 18 and under girls singles.
