The Central Highlands Football League will wait for player reports to be dealt with before determining a further investigation will take place in the abandonment of an under-18 game on Saturday owing to player behaviour.
Four players were reported in the match between Creswick and Carngham-Linton at Creswick.
The statement reads:
"Following the abandonment of the Creswick FNC v Carngham Linton FNC under-18 match on Saturday, May 25, due to player behaviour, the Central Highlands FL will initially deal with the match reports which were laid and then examine whether further investigation of actions which were taken is required.
"This will be conducted within the timelines permitted under the regulations of WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country."
SATURDAY
A Central Highlands Football League under-18 match has failed to finish after being called off during play owing to player behaviour.
The Creswick and Carngham-Linton game at Creswick on Saturday was abandoned by umpires after they deemed players were unable to be controlled to their satisfaction.
The CHFL has confirmed three Carngham-Linton players and one Creswick player were reported.
The CHFL is waiting for a report from umpires on the circumstances of the incident and/or incidents leading to the match being cut short.
No announcement has yet been made by the CHFL regarding premiership points.
